The Ask: "Please guys, can we decorate this place so when we come in we can feel more of the holiday spirit" CD
The Result: I decided to make a statement. A big, huge statement, an experiment of sorts.
With the help of an amazing art director, we created an eight-foot holiday tree made of dots. We built it overnight, 72 sheets of paper, 3,584 green dots, tons of tape and 5 foot tall me getting on top of tables to tape the pages together, and the magic was automatic. People from every department began creating the most innovative, out-there, ornaments that best personified them. After a day the tree was completely filled with all kinds of ornaments: a Super Mario pixelated start to top off the tree, Godzilla, a 3-D stuffed cheese puffs bucket, pictures of supermodels professing their love to the SEO team, menus of favorite restaurants, and everything but the kitchen sink...yet. The final touch: Elves came in the middle of the night and added real christmas lights to the tree. The result: the best damn office holiday decoration I have ever seen.
